main 230V is not an option, like in cars, motorways / caravans, boats, ships, and very often in homes too. Their performance, colour and brightness are varied, with lights suitable for main lighting, but also a large number of 12V LED lights are perfect for mood and task lighting, sometimes also with dimmable function. 12V LED lights are very popular both for home and commercial use. Both SMD Power and high power LED lights are suitable for long period operation. SMD Power LEDs can be run for up to 12 hours a day, while high power LEDs are even for constant, 24/7 run. 

The brightness of these LED lights also improved with technology and now  even 12V LED lights are suitable for main source of lighting, some of the replacing even 50W halogen lights - the MR16 LED lights for instance. Most of our 12V LED lights have two colour temperature versions: bright white and warm white. Bright white lights are generally brighter and have a bigger performance, their light emitted is slightly bluish (can only be sensed on white surfaces). The warm white coloured lights usually have a lower performance, and their colour resembles the conventional and halogen light bulbs`. It is somewhat yellowish, like sun-light. 

In your home, use these 12V DC LED lights in your kitchen, along staircases as signal light or in cabinets. LED strip ligths are especially ideal for illuminating these places running along the stairs, or enlightening edges of furniture, mirrors or desks and worktops.

The beam angle of the 12V LED lights vary from 120 degree - emitting diffused light -, to spotlight 38/45 degree. The larger beam angled lights are ideal for illuminating larger areas from a relatively short distance (shelves for instance), while the narrower beam-angled LED spots are best to enlighten smaller areas with a very bright light in its focus.
